Welcome to seventh grade science at the Baylor School. I hope that you will find this site both informative and entertaining (check out the photo section; click on photo to view it enlarged). Seventh grade science meets the full year every other day for ninety minutes per class. They will have a different teacher for each semester, either Mr. Roberts or myself. The main reason for switching teachers is so that each of us will have the opportunity to teach all of the seventh graders during the year. Our aim is to have classses that are both educational and fun; it seems logical for the two to go together.
The course of study includes: first semester, units on the Skeletal System, the Muscular System, the Skin, Foods and Nutrition, and the Digestive System; second semester, the Circulatory System, the Respiratory System, the Urinary System, the Nervous System, the Reproductive System, the Endocrine System, and CPR training. Lectures, internet use, dissections, and labs are all used to make the course more informative and interesting. In addition, the seventh grade class takes a Disneyworld trip during the second semester. The students are divided into teams; each team, using teacher guidelines, does research during the trip to create a Powerpoint project on one of the body systems.

Thank you for giving me the privilege of working with your sons and daughters.
